Selection Procedure for the Position of Academic Staff Member 

Department of Teacher Training – Assistant 

The Dean of the Hussite Theological Faculty of Charles University, in accordance with the current version of the Charles University Selection Procedure Code, announces a selection procedure for the position of Assistant at the Department of Teacher Training. 

Requirements: 

• Completed university education (Master’s or Ph.D.) in the field of social pedagogy or social work;
• Academic experience in supervising internships (excursions and continuous placements) in an academic environment focused on social pedagogy;
• Professional experience in the social and socio-pedagogical field;
• Experience in supervising and evaluating bachelor’s and master’s theses;
• Experience in teaching social pedagogy subjects at a university is an advantage;
• Knowledge of institutions offering socio-pedagogical services in Prague and the surrounding area;
• Ability to work as part of a team, organizational and communication skills, and reliability;
• Excellent knowledge of the Czech language;
• Good knowledge of the English language;
• Higher than the minimum required education is an advantage;
• Expected corresponding publication and other creative activities in the field and qualification growth. 

General Information: 

• Expected start date: October 2025
• Workload: 1.0 FTE
• Salary conditions: AP1 (governed by the internal regulations of the university)
