The Laboratory for Bioengineering Research and Applications (LIBRA) in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a postdoctoral associate to work on scientifically deciphering the magic of macrophage-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs).

The successful applicant will be hired for 2 years and will drive the immunological side of a fascinating project that uses bioelectronics to assess EVs from macrophages. In recent years macrophage-derived EVs have emerged to be potential therapeutic targets and promising agents for treatment of inflammatory diseases, and our goal is to capitalize on this possibility by gaining a better understanding using bioelectronic means. The passionate and detailed-oriented candidate will work in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students and across multiple institutions (Khalifa University, Cornell University).

Applicants must have a PhD in Bioengineering or related science.  Excellent experimental, data analytic and presentation skills with practical know-how needed for multi-resolution (genetic-, protein-, functional-level) assessment of immune cells, and preferably with evidenced experience relevant to the project (in particular 3D cell culture and/or Bioelectronics) are required.
