Offer description

Digitization, sustainability and decarbonization are the three great challenges of all productive sectors today, including the construction sector.

The industrialization of construction makes it possible to manufacture elements in series and obtain complete structures that are later assembled outside the factory. This model offers a long list of advantages, such as being more sustainable and respectful of the environment, shortening construction times, raising the quality of housing execution, being safe, increasing the employability of women and youth, and improving the energy efficiency.

In addition to this background, Navarra has become a reference region for the high quality of its building ecosystem: construction companies, regulations, proactivity of the regional government or its quality urban planning. In this environment, the School of Architecture of the Universidad Navarra has played an important role, and especially the working group that the PI represents in the area of building services and energy systems.

The offer is open to researchers who want to innovate in this area of work.
