The candidate must have academic training and professional experience appropriate to the objectives of the project: experience in monitoring environmental variables, programming data acquisition systems, processing images obtained by thermal cameras.

The amount of the grant corresponds to 1.259,64€, according to the table of values of the grants awarded by FCT, I.P. in the country. The fellow will also benefit from a personal accident insurance, and if not included in any social security protocol, may adhere to the Portuguese Social Security through the Seguro Social Voluntário (Voluntary Social Security), in the terms present in the Portuguese Código dos Regimes Contributivos do Sistema Previdencial de Segurança Social. The monthly salary will be payed monthly by bank transfer.

The criteria for assessing applications will be:

a) Curriculum evaluation and its suitability for the project (60%);
b) Experience in work developed in scientific areas within the scope of the project's activities (40%);

The jury may decide to interview the first two ranked candidates.

The jury will be composed by Doctor António Castro Ribeiro (President of the Jury), Doctor Manuel Feliciano and Doctor João Azevedo.

The communications and the final results of the evaluation will be disclosed by email notification to the candidates.

If the decision to be taken is unfavourable to the granting of the requested scholarship, the candidates have a period of 10 working days, after the date of publication of the evaluation results, to express their opinion, if desired, in a prior hearing, under the terms provided for in the Code of the Administrative Procedure.

Documents proving the ownership of academic degrees or diplomas, or enrollment in anacademicdegree or diploma, may be dispensed with during the application stage, being replaced byadeclaration of honor by the candidate, although substantiation of this condition is mandatoryduringthe grant contracting stage. Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries require recognitionby a Portuguese Institution inaccordance with Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16th andOrdinance No. 33/2019, of January 25th. The presentation of the recognition is mandatory for thesigning of the contract.
