Selection procedure for calling of a full university professor (a permanent position of Full Professor), in accordance with article 18, paragraph 1, of Law 30 December 2010, no. 240:
Place of employment: Dipartimento di Discipline Umanistiche, Sociali e delle Imprese Culturali - Università degli Studi di Parma.
Positions: 1 (one).
Competition Sector 14/B1: History of Political Thought and Institutions
Profile: Scientific disciplinary-sector SPS/02: History of Political Thought
Maximum number of publications that the candidate may submit: 12 (twelve).

The following can participate in the aforementioned selection procedure:
a) candidates in possession of the national scientific qualification, pursuant to art. 16, of Law no. 240/2010, for the Insolvency Sector, or for one of the Insolvency Sectors, included in the same Macro Sector and for the functions covered by the proceeding, or for higher functions, provided that they are not already holders of the same higher functions;
b) professors already in service at other Italian universities, in the bracket corresponding to that for which the selection is announced;
c) scholars permanently engaged abroad in research or teaching at university level, in a position of equal level to those covered by the announcement, on the basis of correspondence tables, updated every three years, defined by the MUR, after consulting the CUN.
Those who, at the time of submitting the application, have a degree of kinship or affinity, up to and including the fourth degree, with a professor belonging to the Department requesting the activation of the post or structure that carries out cannot participate in the procedure. the call or with the Rector, the General Manager or a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Parma.
The requirements for admission must be met on the expiry date of the deadline for submitting applications.

- Specific functions that the Professor must play: TEACHING: The appointed Professor will guarantee qualified teaching activities within the first-a second level Degree courses and the Doctoral program in Science filologico-letterarie, storico-filosofico e artistiche. The appointed Professor will also carry out specific activities in the teaching areas History of Political Doctrines and History of Political Thought concerning: 1) historical development of political ideas from classical antiquity to the present time; 2) dynamics of transformation of political ideas and cultures with particular reference to the contemporary era; 3) the forms of political organization from the eighteenth and twentieth centuries. MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES: The appointed Professor will undertake management activities of responsibility departmental and University organs and structures (Research, Teaching, Third Mission). RESEARCH: In the context of the themes covered by the ministerial declaration of SSD SPS/02 the appointed Professor will carry out research activities acknowledged at both a national and an international (European) projects, well as carry out managerial and organizational tasks related to these projects. - General evaluation criteria: Internationally recognized quality standards pursuant to art. 24, paragraph 5, of Law no. 240/2010, taking into account the provisions of the Ministerial Decree MIUR n. 344 of 4 August 2011. - Further elements of didactic and scientific qualification: RESEARCH: In the evaluation of scientific production, the following general criteria will be taken into account: a) participation in national and international research groups; b) participation in national and international conferences. In the evaluation of scientific publications, the following aspects will be considered: a) originality, methodological rigour and relevance of each publication; b) congruency with the SSD SPS/02; c) relevance of the editorial position and its diffusion within the scientific community. TEACHING: In the evaluation of the teaching activity, the following general criteria will be considered: a) number of courses/modules relevant to the SSD SPS/02, and continuity; b) quality and quantity of didactic activity and tutoring function in the bachelor, master and PhD courses.
