The candidate meets the requirements for the position of university professor in the research staff group at the Jagiellonian Centre for Drug Research according to the criteria approved by the JCET Council:
- The candidate's total publication output meets the following bibliometric indicators: Hirsch index of at least 14 (according to Scopus).
- The candidate is the first or corresponding author of at least 10 original articles from the JCR list (Q1) (in the relevant field according to Scopus).
- The candidate has led or is currently leading at least two research projects funded from external sources after obtaining their PhD.
- The candidate has experience in training scientific staff.
- The candidate has documented experience working in a research institution that is not their primary institution.
- The candidate has experience in international collaboration.
- The candidate will present a research plan for the next 3-5 years, along with the expected outcomes of the planned research activities.
Additionally, it is expected that the candidate will have:
- A significant scientific background and achievements in the field of interdisciplinary research at the intersection of pharmacotherapeutic mechanisms in the endothelium and blood vessels.
- Experience in acquiring funding from NCN, FNP, MEiN (MNiSW).
- Experience in obtaining or applying for projects funded by European sources, such as ERC grants.
- Proficiency in English, enabling fluent verbal and written communication.

The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.2) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on higher education and science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 163 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:
- holding at least a doctoral degree;
- having significant and creative achievements in scientific, professional or artistic work;
- having achievements in organisational work.
The first stage of the selection procedure is the formal assessment of the submitted documents. Applications which meet all formal requirements are the subject of substantive assessment, during which an interview with the Candidate may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), upon settling the date of the interview with the Candidate. The Candidate has the right to appeal against the negative assessment by the selection board within 7 days from receiving the information about the results of the assessment.
