Project description

The Project is aimed at developing machine learning algorithms for predicting rainfall-runoff processes at catchment scale. We have selected a set of catchments where (15 min) yetographs and (15 min) hydrographs must be coupled so physics-inspired predictive algorithms bust be developed. In parallel, information on certain particular hydrological processes and variables (baseflow, snowmelt, time of concentration, etc.) will be deduced and processed to raise knowledge on those processes.

Brief description of the Centre/Research Group

The group has large experience in research activities on hydrological modelling and monitoring coupling both theoretical and experimental topics. We have laboratory facilities and field experiments to conduct the proposed research activities.
