As a Consultant Anaesthesiologist with a special interest in Pain Medicine, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality anaesthetic services while leading and advancing pain management strategies within the hospital. This position offers a mix of preoperative anaesthesia care and dedicated pain management services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert anaesthetic care for a variety of surgical procedures.
Lead and develop pain management services within the hospital.
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to implement comprehensive pain management plans.
Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, anaesthetic trainees, and other healthcare staff.

Qualifications and Experience:
Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
Completion of Specialist Training in Anaesthesiology and possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent.
Fellowship in Pain Medicine (or equivalent qualifications/experience in pain management)
A minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in Anaesthesiology.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
A strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
