OFFER DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology, specialising in Social Development. We are looking for a colleague who has interest in our current research and teaching, in which the normative developmental and developmental psychopathology perspectives are intertwined.
Most of our research covers early childhood to young adulthood. Our programme has a tradition of longitudinal research. One of our priorities is to continue our ongoing longitudinal studies. We are especially interested in a colleague who is able to collaborate on these projects. More broadly, you will contribute to our scientific output and the international visibility of our programme through publications and presentations. You will write grant applications in the spirit of team science together with others in the Social Development programme. You will be a mentor for PhD candidates. As our fundamental research has clear links with practice, there is also room for translational research.

We teach human development and developmental psychopathology at the Bachelor's and Master's degree levels. Your teaching experience and interests should fit in well with this mission. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can participate in clinical courses in the Bachelor's programme in Psychology (e.g. Conversational Skills Clinical Assessment/Psychodiagnostics) and the Master's programme in Health Care Psychology. Other courses are also possible (e.g. Introduction to Developmental Psychology; Social Development; Peer-related Processes in Developmental Psychopathology).

You will be expected to participate in management tasks, including committee memberships, programme evaluations, search committees, and recruitment activities.
