Description
The University of Murcia’s Department of Physics is pleased to offer a stimulating and interdisciplinary hosting environment for this project. This initiative brings together experts in physics, computational sciences, environmental studies, and applied mathematics to address the urgent challenges posed by climate change and increasing wildfire risks.
The candidate will join a vibrant research community with access to state‐of‐the‐art models, high‐performance computing resources, and extensive digital and physical libraries. Our hosting environment emphasizes both scientific excellence and professional development, providing opportunities for tailored mentorship and international secondments. Researchers will work alongside specialists from diverse fields, contributing to the development of advanced predictive tools, fire susceptibility maps, and actionable risk mitigation strategies. This approach will enhance our understanding of climate hazards, support civil protection initiatives, and inform adaptive policy measures.
