Outline
The Canon Foundation grants up to 15 Research Fellowships each year. The fellowships support any field of research.
Applications close on September 15, 2025.
What is funded
European researchers have to spend a period of their research in Japan and vice versa.
Duration
The fellowships provide up to 30,000 EUR/year for a 3-months to 1-year period.
Eligibility
Applicants must be European or Japanese researchers with a Master’s or PhD degree, received in the past 10 years. For the purpose of the fellowship, Europeans include also the UK, Israel, Turkey, Balkan and Baltic countries.
