DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):

We are looking for candidates with doctor degree in agricultural sciences (discipline: biotechnology) or in related field for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.

Candidates should also have a good knowledge of English language and should be an author or co-author at least 4 publications. Persons applying for this position must meet the conditions set out in Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668) and Statute of SGGW

The duties of the candidate will include independent teaching and research conducting. The teaching language will be Polish and English.

The candidate should be characterized by the following features:

- good knowledge of issues in the field of classical and molecular genetics and plant biotechnology

- good knowledge of basic molecular biologyand plant in vitro cultures techniques, and bioinformatics tools

- the ability to work in a team and flexible organization of working time

- proficient computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

- ability to use computer databases

In case of the same skills, the additional criteria of candidate selecting will be: (1) experience in conducting exercises for students in the area of genetics, plant biotechnology, plant molecular biology, (2) knowledge about the current topics of structural and functional genomics of plant abiotic and biotic stresses, (3) experience in conducting research projects, (4) knowledge of the R programing language in the field of bioinformatics and Linux environment.

  • an application for employment addressed to the Rector of SGGW
  • personal questionnaire form
  • CV (including description of the scientific career)
  • a copy of PhD diploma
  • a list of papers published and accepted for print (editorial certificate required)
  • - positive evaluation of the conducted classes or the monothematic lecture
