We are looking for candidates holding a PhD, preferably with Postdoc experience.
The candidate's main research areas should revolve around one of the major themes in the field of organizations sciences that is congruent with the departments research focus on organizational ethnography, organizational theory and organizational change, strategy, conflict and cooperation, institutional work and social entrepreneurship.
We also highly value particular expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
The successful candidate will be part of the departments community of scholars, mentoring students (at Bachelor's, Master's and PhD level) and conducting high-quality research. They will have an active research program and a strong international network.
Teaching will take place in Dutch (while some teaching in English may be required) at Bachelor's and Master's level and primarily in the areas of organization theory, organizational behavior and methodology (either qualitative or quantitative, though we are open to multiple methodologies). An important part of our educational task is thesis supervision. If not already done so, the candidate must be willing to obtain the basis teaching qualifications (BKO) required by Dutch universities.
Preferably starting at the beginning of the Academic Year: as of 15th August.
Your duties
- Carry out responsibilities associated with the position, that include being part of the departments scholarly community, mentoring students (bachelor, master and doctoral students)
- We expect you to participate constructively and positively in the Department of Organization Sciences
- To teach at bachelor and master levels in the areas of organization theory and organizational behavior and methodology, this may also involve seminars and thematic courses
- To conduct high quality research. We seek candidates with an active research program who realize international peer-reviewed publications that fit the above-described research themes
- We expect the candidate to seek external funding to support their research activities, from Dutch and EU sources, and across the public and private sectors

A challenging position in a socially engaged organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €3,746 (scale 11)
and a maximum €5,127 (scale 11), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.8 FTE.
The initial employment contract will affect a period of 50 months. The job involves a tenure track from Assistant Professor 2 to a permanent position as Assistant Professor 1 in 50 months time. For the first two years, the division of time allocated to teaching and research is 50-50. Specific Requirements
- A PhD degree in Organization Studies, Management or another related Social Science
- Teaching experience, candidates are expected to teach core and methodological courses and supervise theses in the various programs offered by the department
- Preferably some postdoctoral research experience, such as supervision of PhD-candidates and the acquisition of external funding
- To take up administrative tasks related to teaching and research
