OFFER DESCRIPTION
We seek a olleague who can contribute to building and extending the department’s reputation for excellence in research and teaching in accounting or auditing. All areas of accounting will be considered, e.g. financial and management accounting, auditing, accounting information systems, taxation, and control. Our research aims at having impact, evidenced by publications in top international academic journals and collaborations with practice. Our teaching portfolio involves a variety of courses at bachelor, master and Ph.D. level and thesis supervision. We offer a well-structured tenure track.
Your duties
- doing innovative research and publishing in leading international journals
- teaching in bachelor, master and post-master programs
- creating a stimulating learning environment for students at all levels (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.)
- being active in acquiring additional research funds, both individually and in collaboration with colleagues

Benefits
A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €3,746 (scale 11)
and a maximum €5,127 (scale 11), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 1 FTE.
The initial employment contract for an Assistant Professor will be for a period of 6 years, with the possibility of tenure. The tenure track position involves research (40%) and teaching (60%). At the end of the second year a mid-term performance evaluation will take place by the Tenure Track Committee (TTC). In the fifth year, the TTC will review your file in order to decide upon the tenured assignment, based on the assessment criteria of the Tenure Track system at SBE.

Specific Requirements
- a PhD degree, specializing in accounting, auditing, or a related field
- a good track record in teaching Accounting / Auditing courses, as evidenced by excellent evaluations
- a strong research potential, preferably evidenced by publications and by a pipeline of high quality working papers and projects
- a key interest in the development of theory, research methodology and empirical findings in Accounting / Auditing
- fluency in English
