Tasks:
- Representation of the subject Practical Instrumentation in teaching within the frame of the studies of composition including the study branches composition, media composition, electroacoustic composition as well as the studies of conducting and of sound engineering / Tonmeister education.
- Advancement and Appreciation of the Arts, Technologies and working methodologies
- participation in the organization and operation of the Institute, and evaluation tasks
According to the Austrian collective labour agreement, the monthly gross pay is at a minimum € 2.846,50 (14 times), in case of job-related former experience a gross pay of € 3.396,00 (at a maximum) is possible.

Skills/Qualifications
- completed Austrian or equivalent foreign university degree in this field of study or equivalent artistic/scientific credentials.
- multi-annual practical professional experience in instrumentation / orchestration of works of music in different genres and styles (contemporary music, musical, film etc.)
- qualifications and experience in the didactics and teaching.
Specific Requirements
- Experience in instrumentation and arrangement in various settings (orchestra, choir, big band, chamber music)
- Knowledge of theory and aesthetics of instrumentation from pre-classical epoque until today including modern techniques of instrumentation and composition.
- Knowledge of notation theory and the subject-specific notation software.
- Knowledge of modern music technology including the possibilities of sound reproduction and the creation of new sound/timbre combinations.
