We are offering a postdoctoral position to carry out the activities of work packages WP1-2, which include the development of in vitro and in vivo skin models, as well as the optimization of the biocontainment strategy. This line of research requires highly specialized knowledge in skin bioengineering and biotechnology.

Tasks:

1. Development and execution of experiments related to the manipulation of the skin microbiome using genetic engineering techniques.
2. Performance of bacterial cultures and aseptic techniques, including preparation of media, plates and liquid cultures.
3. Handling of laboratory animals (mice) for in vivo studies, with a certificate for working with animal models.
4. Application of molecular and cellular biology techniques such as RT-qPCR, ELISA and Western blot.
5. Culturing mammalian cells and manipulating in vitro skin models.
6. Support in the supervision of undergraduate and master's students in laboratory activities.
7. Teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment, with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
8. Active participation in the preparation of results for reports, publications and presentations.
