POST-DOC POSITION (f/m)
in the Department of Physical Chemistry of Porous Materials
on research project „Development of thermal-catalytic method of humic-like acids production from agricultural and forestry waste biomass - assessment of preparation as conditioner enhancing chemical, physical and mechanical properties of soils contaminated with Pb and Cd” (2024/53/B/ST10/03137), funded by National Science Centre within programme OPUS 27 (hereinafter as “the Project”)

Specific Requirements
- PhD obtained no earlier than 7 years before 1 January of the year of employment in the project, in the field of natural sciences, engineering and technology, agricultural sciences or related in discipline related to chemical, physical or environmental studies,
- documented scientific achievements including at least:
- three publications in journals with IF,
- one international research internship,
- proven active participation in international conferences,
- first author in at least two articles published in journals with IF,
- knowledge and experience in studies of interactions in aqueous solutions and on the solid surfaces,
- knowledge on classical and modern instrumental methods e.g.: techniques and protocols of samples extraction for determination of metal content, potentiometric titration, DLS and AAS techniques, FTIR spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectrophotometry,
- knowledge of issues related to humic substances,
- knowledge of the English language allowing to study freely professional literature as well as to prepare co-authored scientific papers and to take active part in scientific events conducted in English;
- experience in preparation of scientific reports, conference materials and research papers,
- experience in statistical processing data,
- conscientiousness, accuracy and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner,
- communication skills, as well as willingness and openness to work as part of a team.
PLEASE BE INFORMED: A POST-DOC type post can be occupied by a persons who:
- PhD degree has been awarded by another institution than the one planned to employ them at this post or they have completed a continuous and evidenced post-doctoral fellowship of at least 10 months in another institution than the host institution for the project and in another country than the one in which they have been conferred a PhD degree;
- will be employed for a period of at least 6 months;
- did not have the principal investigator as their research supervisor or auxiliary supervisor of their PhD dissertation
- at the time of receiving remuneration, they will not be receiving any other remuneration paid from the funds granted to research projects under NCN calls under the heading of direct costs;
- in the period of receiving the remuneration they will be receiving no remuneration from another employer pursuant to an employment contract, including an employer with registered office outside of Poland.
It would be nice if YOU additionally have:
- the ability and experience in using AAS and FTIR analyzer,
- research on humic substances documented in publications.
