I-Form is inviting expressions of interestfrom talented researchers who wish to apply for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship in the areas of:
- material processing development
- material processing modelling
- additive manufacturing
- surface engineering
- precision engineering
- process simulation
- real-time feedback
- circular manufacturing.
About I-Form, the Research Ireland Centre for Advanced Manufacturing
The mission of I-Form is to shape the future of manufacturing through high-impact research in the application of digital technologies to materials processing, in order to improve understanding, modelling and control of the manufacturing process, thus increasing the competitiveness of Irish industry.
I-Form bring together expertise in materials science, engineering, data analytics and cognitive computing. One of our key materials processing demonstrators is Additive Manufacturing, which has the potential to disrupt traditional manufacturing in areas such as medical devices, aerospace and pharmaceuticals.
The Centre brings together researchers based in University College Dublin, Dublin City University, Trinity College Dublin, Maynooth University, University of Galway, Atlantic Technological University, South East Technological University, University of Limerick and NIBRT.

Additional Information
Researchers of any nationality, who:
- have a PhD degree at the time of the deadline for applications (10 September 2025)
- have a maximum of eight years experience in research, from the date of the award of their PhD degree.
- have not lived or worked in Ireland for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the call deadline.
