The Bauru School of Dentistry (FOB-USP) is offering a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Biochemistry Laboratory. The objective is to generate primary data on Amazonian biodiversity through genomic and proteomic mapping of insects from the Odonata order and fish, focusing on molecular taxonomic characterization and identification of biomarkers related to mercury exposure that may be used in biomonitoring of this environmental damage in remote regions of the Amazon.

Requirements : Master’s and PhD degrees in Science, Environmental Technology, or related fields; proof of PhD defense (within the past 2 years); proven experience in proteomic analysis and environmental contaminants; proficiency in English (reading and scientific writing).

The position is open to Brazilian and international applicants. The selected candidate will receive a Postdoctoral Fellowship from FAPESP in the amount of R$ 12,000.00 per month, along with a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual scholarship value, to cover research-related expenses.
