Dushanbe Innovation Institute (DII) is seeking a Foreign Lecturer to teach Computer Science in its inaugural Bachelor’s Degree Programme

Job Details:
Position: Lecturer in Computer Science
Employment status: full-time
Location: Dushanbe, Tajikistan

About the Role: As a Lecturer at DII, you will be responsible for:

• Developing/delivering engaging and effective lessons in English, according to DII’s curriculum
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds
• Using a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement new curriculum initiatives

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Strong English language skills
• A passion for education and a commitment to student success
• The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

Qualifications:

1. Education: A minimum of a Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

2. Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in the following areas: Computer Architecture and Operating Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Systems Programming, Computer Networks and Distributed Systems.

3. Experience: Prior teaching experience in a university or academic setting is preferred, along with demonstrated experience in curriculum development and course delivery in the specified areas.
