L'objectif de est de procéder à l'évaluation de l'empreinte environnementale du stockage et du calcul ADN en utilisant l'analyse du cycle de vie (ACV). Cette technologie émergente promet une réduction drastique de la consommation énergétique du stockage et du traitement de l'information. Le projet s''intéressera d'abord à l'empreinte environnementale de procédès de base de le biochimie puis quantifiera les impacts de cette technologie émergente en collaboration avec des experts en ACV et en nanotechnologie ADN.

The aim is to assess the environmental footprint of DNA storage and computation using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This emerging technology promises a drastic reduction in the energy consumption of information storage and processing. The project will first examine the environmental footprint of basic biochemical processes, then quantify the impacts of this emerging technology in collaboration with experts in LCA and DNA nanotechnology.
