Offer Description

A position of post-doc in the OPUS 27 no 2024/53/B/ST4/01205 project entitled " Gold nanocluster ultrathin films self-assembled at air-water interface, and designed to modify electrocatalytic CO2 conversion pathways" financed by National Science Centre is open for application. Project leader: prof. dr hab. Renata Bilewicz.

The post-doc (assistant professor in a group of science positions) will run a research in exact and natural sciences, in discipline of chemical science. The position will not be related to activities covered by the protection of minors.

We are looking for motivated candidates:

  • with a PhD degree in chemistry or related sciences (required in the first day of work at the latest)
  • good knowledge of English (at least B2 level)
  • experience in in electrochemical methods and/or surface analytical techniques
  • team working skills
  • interest in chemistry of nanostructures, especially their synthesis
  • the candidate must meet the requirements of art. 113 of the Act - Law on Higher Education and Science dated July 20, 2018 (Polish Journal of Laws of 2024, no. 1571).

     
Specific Requirements

Main duties:

  • synthesis of metal nanoparticles and preparation of metal nanoparticle layers on electrodes
  • characterization of the model systems by means of electrochemical (voltammetry and EIS) methods, microscopy and IR spectroscopy methods
  • keeping scientific documentation of the conducted research

Benefits

We offer:

a temporary contract with the University of Warsaw, in a full time. Planned start of employment 1st of September 2025 for 12 months (with possibility of extension) at Faculty of Chemistry, University of Warsaw. We offer a possibility of development. 

Please note that during the period of employment at the University of Warsaw, the candidate will not draw remuneration from another employer under a contract of employment, including an employer based outside Poland.
