Offer Description

one teacher to a scientific and teaching position of the first category -  professor, for the scientific field of biomedicine and health, field of clinical medical science, branch of otorhinolaryngology, at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, for an indefinite period of time on a part-time basis, with the obligation to conduct re-election or election to a higher position;

Candidates for selection must meet the conditions prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette No. 119/2022), or the Regulations on the conditions for selection to scientific titles of the National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development (Official Gazette 28/17, 72/19, 21/21 and 111/2022), the conditions prescribed by the Decision of the Rectors' Conference on the necessary conditions for the assessment of teaching and professional activities in the procedure for selection to scientific and teaching titles (Official Gazette 122/2017), or the Decision on amending and supplementing the Decision on the necessary conditions for the assessment of teaching and scientific and professional activities in the procedure for selection to scientific and teaching titles (Official Gazette 120/2021), the conditions prescribed by the Decision of the Rectors' Conference on the necessary conditions for the assessment of teaching and professional activities in the procedure for selection to teaching titles (Official Gazette 13/2012), or the Decision on amending and supplementing the Decision on the necessary conditions for the assessment of teaching and professional activities in the procedure for appointment to teaching positions (Official Gazette 120/2021) and the Regulations on the conditions and procedure for appointment to positions of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Split. The necessary documentation and evidence that must be submitted for appointment to a vacant position are published on the website of the Human Resources Commission (http://www.mefst.hr/kadrovi).

To apply for a competition, you must attach: a handwritten application, a CV with a description of teaching, scientific and professional work, a copy of diplomas (attach a certificate or certificate of nostrification if the academic degree was achieved outside the Republic of Croatia), a decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for applicants who have acquired the qualification abroad, proof of knowledge of the Croatian language (level C2 - advanced knowledge) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​for applicants who are foreign citizens, a copy of an identification document, documents proving the required conditions, qualifications and experience, evidence of meeting the requirements of the Rectors' Conference, a description of teaching and scientific activities, a list of works and works relevant to the selection (separate works in electronic form) or a decision on a previously conducted selection.

Persons of both genders have the right to submit an application to the competition.

The Faculty reserves the right, before making a decision on selection, to conduct a knowledge and skills test and/or interview with candidates who submit a timely and proper application and meet the formal requirements of the competition. Candidates will be notified in a timely manner of any testing and/or interview. If a candidate does not participate in a possible test, it will be considered that he or she has withdrawn his or her application for the competition. The Faculty reserves the right not to select any candidate for the competition in question.

A person who has not submitted a timely and proper application or does not meet the formal requirements of the competition is not considered a candidate for the competition. A proper application is an application that contains all the information and attachments in the manner specified in the competition. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

For candidates who have applied for the competition and who meet the formal requirements, the employer reserves the right to conduct a knowledge, abilities and skills test and an interview essential for performing the duties of the position. In the event that the above checks are carried out, candidates are obliged to complete them, otherwise they will be considered to have withdrawn their application for the competition.

By applying for the competition, candidates expressly agree that the Faculty of Medicine in Split, as the controller of the personal data collection, may use, collect and process data for the purpose of carrying out the competition procedure in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016) and legal regulations.

A person who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21 and Article 48, paragraphs 1-3 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21), is obliged to invoke this right in the application for a public tender and to enclose with the application all the prescribed documentation according to a special law, and has priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

 

A person who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families is obliged to enclose with the application for a tender all evidence of meeting the conditions of the tender and, depending on the category in which he falls, all the necessary evidence (Article 103, paragraph 1 of the Act) available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian veterans:

A person who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War, along with the application for the competition, is obliged to submit all evidence of meeting the conditions from the competition and to submit evidence of meeting the conditions for exercising the right to priority in employment (Article 49, paragraph 1 of the Act) available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans:

A candidate who invokes the right of priority in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, in addition to the proof of meeting the required conditions, is obliged to submit proof of established status of a person with a disability with his/her application for the competition.

 

A candidate who invokes the right of priority in accordance with Article 48. f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids, in addition to the proof of meeting the required conditions, is obliged to submit proof of established status of a person with a disability with his/her application for the competition.

 

A candidate who exercises the right to priority in employment according to special regulations is obliged to refer to this right in the application for the competition, i.e. to attach the prescribed evidence of this status, evidence showing how the employment relationship with the last employer ended (contract, resolution, decision, etc.) and evidence that he is unemployed (certificate or record sheet of the Croatian Employment Service).

 

Candidates will be notified of the results of the competition within 15 days from the date of the decision on the selection.

 

The deadline for submitting applications for vacancies is 30 (thirty) days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. Applications and evidence of meeting the criteria with the necessary documentation are submitted in electronic form to the Human Resources Service of the Faculty of Medicine in Split, at the e-mail address: kadrovi@mefst.hr
