MSCA-PF: Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunities at the Institute of Phonetics, Faculty of Arts, Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic)
The Institute of Phonetics welcomes qualified candidates with outstanding potential interested in applying for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Post-Doctoral Fellowship (HORIZON-MSCA-2025-PF-01-01) with Faculty of Arts, Charles University (Prague) as their host institution.
Eligibility:
- PhD degree at the time of the deadline for applications and a maximum of eight years’ experience in research from the date of the award of their PhD degree1.
- Compliance with the mobility requirement of not having resided/conducted activity in the country of the host organisation (Czech Republic) for more than 12 months in the last 3 years. Please consult related information for comprehensive eligibility requirements.
Research Area:
speech science – acquisition of L2 sound patterns / L1 speech perception in infancy
Supervisor: Radek Skarnitzl is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Phonetics in Prague. He is interested in various aspects of speech communication, with expertise in speech prosody, second language acquisition, and acoustic phonetics.
Co-supervisor: Nikola Paillereau is a university lecturer and researcher, with a research focus on the processing of speech in infants using EEG and fNIRS, as well as behavioural methods.

Additional information: Note that, in the Czech Republic (as a “widening country”), there is another funding possibility of the best-ranked MSCA-PF proposals that are not funded by the European fellowships scheme due to lack of finances (and are just below the “cut-off-score”), namely the ERA Fellowship (Horizon Europe).
