The research activity will concern topics related to the scientific disciplinary sector Organic Chemistry CHEM – 05/A and will be focused on the design and development of innovative synthetic methodologies aimed at obtaining new mono- and poly-heterocyclic molecules of biological/pharmaceutical interest.
Heterocyclic scaffolds will be preferably synthesized by telescopic, domino/multicomponent reactions, employing hydrazine derivatives. Characteristics of these synthetic approaches will be the simplicity and
safety of the procedures utilized. Particular attention will also be paid to the substantial reduction of the
environmental impact of the synthetic methodologies developed which must be characterized by high atom
economies, elevated efficiencies and selectivities, reduction of the quantities of solvents, preferring the
utilize of benign solvents and catalysts.
