Offer Description
We invite applications for a post-doc to be employed as a research assistant professor in the Department of Particle Interactions and Detection Techniques in the project NCN Opus. The main goal of the project is to develop a compact electromagnetic calorimeter for studying the QED strong field regime for the LUXE experiment at DESY. The successful candidate will part of the project team at AGH (prof. Marek Idzik) and will participate in the development and construction of the above calorimeter. Depending on the competences, his/her main activity will be writing software for control and data acquisition or data analysis or construction of a calorimeter based on silicon detectors or construction and testing of calorimeter readout electronics. We expect the candidate to be able to work in an interdisciplinary team.
6-month full-time contract starts on June 1st, 2025 with the possibility of extension.

- knowledge of English at least at B-2 level,
