The Carbon Neutral Cities, a Science Center for Development (SCD) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and coordinated by the Technological Research Institute (IPT) in São Paulo state, Brazil, was conceived with the ambition of helping cities combat climate change.

One of the center's sectoral tracks is sustainable urban development. To this end, a 24-month post-doctoral fellowship is planned on the topic of “Governance arrangements for smart, resilient, and sustainable cities”.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have knowledge in this area of research on advocacy coalition framework, discourse network analysis and other quantitative methods. Experience in data science, R language, and artificial intelligence is also desirable.

The fellowship will last 24 months. The value is BRL 12,000.00 per month, plus technical reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value, installation assistance, and the possibility of a research internship abroad. The fellowship requires exclusive dedication. Workplace will be Brazil's National Disaster Surveillance and Early Warning Center (CEMADEN) in São José dos Campos, São Paulo.

The selection process for the post-doctoral fellowship will include an analysis of the candidate's CV, an online interview, and a virtual presentation.
